Restaurant noma, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, worked with me and other ceramicists to make new tableware for their newly build and architecturally stunning restaurant, which will open in the middle of February 2018.

I have been working on this project for most of 2017. I defined my aim, namely to create objects, which could add to, but not take anything away from the restaurant’s subtle food–arrangements.

My pieces of work for restaurant noma are mainly salt-glazed, which means they are glazed by salt vapours at almost 1300 degrees celcius. This technique produces a subdued  but very lively surface rich in fine colour tones.

The collection is made exclusively for restaurant noma, and is thus not for sale. These pieces are, however, characteristic examples of my  general salt-glaze style. Other works of mine are for sale in the following places:

  • At my own small gallery, Haredalen 4, 3220 Tisvildeleje.
  • DAMHUSET, Lyngby Hovedgade 1C, 2800 Kgs. Lyngby
  • Galleri RAN, St. Kongensgade 58, 1264 København K.
  • Galleri 55, Adelgade 55, 5400 Bogense
